I feel grateful for the chance to take part in an online collaborative platform such as Second Life. I have gained a favorable outcome through research and experiencing the presentation on business and design for sustainability. I have allowed two notable mistakes, along with the beginning of the presentation, which was mentioned in the feedback from AcuppaTae and Sitearm Madonna as follows. First, I opened the presentation, forgetting to present the group and each member by name, that occur because of a slight stage fright condition that I was experiencing. Second, I misjudged the mode in which the rest of the class will review the slides where it would be helpful to apply a designate name to each of the slides, an action that I further corrected and resubmitted with an e-mail to Acuppa Tae. The feedback was very constructive, and it will be taken on board for future practice. In contrast, the groups' timing was spot on deviating within 5 to 10 min schedule. We picked on leading general principles on sustainability and managed to stay positive by focusing not so much on the harm to nature but the solutions instead. What is more, my intro to supply chain management is based on real-world statistics and data as well on well-known organisations and lecturers on design for sustainability. Our Green team also accomplished an excellent visual to verbal ration, by communicating a considerable amount of the informative text and the information verbally with the support of easy to read graphics and bullet points. This is a crucial factor of excellent presentations applied after the way humans perceive information under verbal input condition. My research on design for sustainability and sustainable strategies encapsulates lectures by Scott Boylston and David Bennell, which were appropriately referenced on the last page of the presentation; this information came as a stimulus for incorporating sustainability in every layer of my future existence. In conclusion, the research for the presentation reassured on my knowledge over sustainability, group dynamics, and virtual collaborative experience.
